The Last Straw

That's it, if I cannot get all the signatures by tomorrow (Friday) I am going to ask my dad to go to the school to talk to assistant headmaster. Gah for all of you that don't know, the school smartly(not) decided that to change our classes this year, we would have to to get 4 signatures.
The current form teacher , the form teacher of the class you intend to transfer to, the discipline master and the assistant headmaster need to place their sign on your form. The discipline master??? WTH? Arrrgh its impossible to ask him anything!

Beside me there are other people that want to change classes too, and they have asked the discipline master but guess what he said? He said, come to me in 2 weeks. What?!!! After 2 weeks the permanent namelist is already out which means he does not care about the applicants or their reasons!! This is so unfair and violates the students' rights. Gaaaah

Anyway if I fail, my dad will go and the school see that 2 can play at that game. You make the students helpless, the parents will make YOU helpless.

Crossing Fingers

As of yesterday, my mind was already made up that I wanted to change to S1 Ren from S1 Xiao. After today, I know its a Must. Today after 4 periods with the form teacher, our classes started in earnest, even though we hardly have any books. So the first lesson my class had was Physics. The teacher Mr. C came in. ( I don't want to disclose any of my teacher's names because one of my friends did and she was given hell for it. ) So Mr.C came in and introduced himself and took attendance. After a long time of ice-breaking, he started to teach. Horrors of horrors! He explained it mostly in chinese!! Helloo! The subject is in English not freaking chinese! I was speechless. And then my mind was like : Oh no, I am so dead.

Then after Mr.C's period, Ms Y came in and she taught chemistry and she's my form teacher. She speaks okay english and she has a degree in chemistry from Taiwan. Luckily her english is still good. But Mamma Mia! She too explained things in Chinese. Gah. I know that all the students in that class are chinese-educated through and through but jeez they might pay more attention to the language its supposed to be in!!

As I have said before, I cannot I reapeat, absolutely cannot function in chinese. All the science subjects before were explained in English last time and I had no problem but now I couldn't even understand a word! Even though I know chinese and I take it as subject, I was never good in it.

I am going to get a letter from my parents and try to change tomorrow....by hook or by crook.

A New School Year.....With A Horrible Start.

Okaaay school was definitely horrible for me today. First of all, I found out I am the only one from my 08 class that is in my current class. 16 of us got into science stream and I am the ONLY ONE in my current class ( S1 Xiao ). Uggh I don't even want to call it my current class I will just call it S1Xiao. When I got this news a few weeks before I was already like.. WHAT the Hell? But I was already in Kuching ( my hometown ) and I couldn't do anything about it. Sure, encouraging the students to befriend other people is good but I think in my case its a bit extreme! I am going to apply to change my class along with the other stranded classmates from my 08 class to Ren class which is where most of the people ended up in. Lol and can you imagine 12 of them are in Ren talk about unfair. Hmph.

My day started off well but I don't like to interact in chinese, it feels distinctively wrong for me. And I hate chinese with a capital H. Its the only subject I did not get an A in for PMR, the government exam for 15 year-olds. Luckily I went to school early so I managed to bag myself a good seat. My premonitions were a little eased when I saw a boy from my club ( band ) step into my class and chose to sit next to me. He was talking to all his friends from his 08 class where there were also 10 of them! At that time I was definitely thinking someone on the school board must have it in for me. Gah. Anyway he and his friends were quite friendly and they were quite okay I suppose but no way I say NO WAY can they be compared to my friends from my old class. So don't any of you old-fashioned "pacifists" dare to bloody patronize me. That was a phrase I picked up form Mamma Mia the Musical and I can definitely feel how she felt now.

If that wasn't enough, this came...

Our new school uniforms! At first we were so psyched up that we have new "stylish" school uniforms. I mean it does look cool and its definitely different and it might have won the challenge on Project Runway. But in terms of functions and comfort, it was the worst thing a school uniform could be. I don't know whether the school chose the material but it was the worst material they could have chosen. It was stiff and sticky making your every move uncomfortable. And comfort should also have been taken into mind too. It was not very breathable and sweat might just cascade down AND to add insult to injury, it doesn't absorb any sweat at all! Every drop of sweat from you will be visible. Do you think that we students like to go around looking like we're having a perpetual shower? Also we don't need to tuck in it and thats good, very good but well everyone has different heights, and custom sizes aren't very good. So you see a lot of people with very long shirts going around or very long skirts . All the bigger people have big problems because of their size and they need bigger fits but most of them don't have the height. So actually our school uniform should have been custom-made or our school uniform would just look like a normal one without being tucked and it looks messy, so our school's image is just going to be continuously damaged isn't it?

Now before you dear readers think I am some weird gloomy person I'm only writing this because I am not at all happy today. And seriously, in terms of design, the school uniform is great and definitely separates us from other students.

Ending my post now, been ranting too long haha.
