Ee's Birthday

Okay, I haven't been here for a long LONG time, but I never meant to be a serious blogger anyway. So here I am in Melbourne, life's been busierthan ever, tests, pracs, homework...... Sigh but since I'm in the mood I'll write about my friend Ee's birthday. We went to this buffet restaurant called Kitchen Workshop in the fancy precinct of Southbank, in the same building as the renowned Crown Casino ( too bad she wasn't in a gambling mood! )

Funky bar design Friends posing by appetizer counter

It was meant to be a surprise and itworked quite well, despite a few sputters. Her face when she arrived was hilarious, especially because it was completely blank. She was like,"Aren't you supposed to be in church?" And I'm like," Obviously I had to come up with something or this wouldn't be a surprise!"

Anyway on to the food!

Clockwise from left : Fried fish with tartar sauce and lemon, chicken sausages, mashed potatoes, bread roll and Crown's own butter!

I must say that the food here is quite superb, the fried fish was NOT dory much to my delight! It was crisp, not too oily and not drowning in breadcrumbs. The chicken sausages were alright, sausages aren't really my thing. Mashed potatoes was good, nice and creamy but the bread roll, Ohmygod was SO good. I ate 5 that day, buttered at all. *Groan while clutching enlarging tummy*

On to the desserts

I took the caramel mousse, panna cotta and cheesecake. Well I had more than that, but was too high on feasting overdrive to take photos. Kitchen Workshop has a WIDE selection of desserts, always highly acclaimed by those who visit this restaurant. And indeed there is a vast sea of delightful desserts, waiting for you to sample, to ooh and aah over. The caramel mousse was good, nice and light, the panna cotta was a bit disappointing, too hard, too much gelatin? While the cheesecake was so-so.

All in all for AUD $17.50 this buffet lunch was very "value-for-money".The food is good, service is fast and the atmosphere is very nice and relaxed, the restaurant was pristine too. Definitely a place to come to if you want to have buffet but a bit short for money.

Ralph Lauren

I suppose everyone knows about this brand. It's a really nice line of clothes and I was browsing through their merchandise on the web just to rid myself of boredom. I'm stuck at home for the whole day as my dad's in KL. Anyway I came across a lot of really nice clothes:

Niiiiiiice :D
Hmm why do they fold up their jeans now? Is that the new fashion? :O
If only there were a Ralph Lauren in KK :(
Of course their plain coloured shirts are really nice too, I'm only posting some of the more special ones I see :D
After browsing ( and salivating over ) their clothes I moved to their shoes and I saw this :
Whoaaaa :D
The description says : Classic lace-up sneaker, constructed in sturdy cotton canvas and accented with our embroidered pony for a handsome, preppy finish.
And I must admit that the pony makes it look awesome.
I have been looking for a pair of good white sneakers and have been looking at the Converse website too and get this : They're around the same price
I was like whaaaaaaat? Of course I'm gonna get the Ralph Lauren if I can find it. I love the pony and the design :D
Check these clothes out at Ralph Lauren's official website :
http://www.ralphlauren.com/home/index.jsp?ab=int_fd_unitedstates
Its the link for the United States website, sigh, neither Singapore nor Malaysia has its own website.
Gotta love Ralph Lauren :D

You Were Never Mine To Keep

You were never mine to keep
One day, I know, you shall go
You tell me now that I'm your friend
But you shall forget, I believe so.

Time is the instrument
of the cruel archer that strings its bow
Our remaining time grows ever shorter
And soon I must go

This departure I want not
but is a must in my life
You too would think me odd
To linger and increase my strife

You tell me that you miss me
But I know that it cannot be true
Time heals even the deepest wounds of division
I shall become a forgotten memory for you

So miss me but let me go
For this also pains me
Present me now with your time
So we may spend it all together.

Glee!!!

Glee, the new musical sensation!!!
It has captivated our interest and is feeding our hunger for musical-based comedy. I loooove Glee because well...its Glee! Hahaha its funny and I love music so Glee had me in its clutches when I first started watching the pilot episode.
And it has continued! After a long agonizing wait!
There are more characters in Glee including Idina Menzel, the coach of a rival glee club and Jonathan Groff, Rachel's new *boyfriend* but secretly he's only using her to find out New Directions secrets. *Gasp*!
I watched Episode 14 yesterday and I'm waiting painfully for episode 15 to load right now. Grr lousy internet. Malaysia Boleh bah.
Episode 15 is the Madonna episode, hope its a good one, I quite like her songs :D
I love Sue Sylvester, without her the show would be so boring hahaha I like her being the bitch she is :d
Hahahahah the way she got reinstated into McKinley High was so funny.
"The point of suspension is reinstatement!"says Principal Figgins.
Nearly fell of my chair laughing.
Hahahaha we also see Britney and Santana a lot during these episodes.
"Did you know that dolphins are gay sharks? Yeaaa" says Britney.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Hmm I think this is it for now. Omg maths homework!!! A lot of work to do. Damn it. I hate maths!!! Headache-inducing bugger.

Computer Class....and here I am blogging =)

I'm in computer class right now, its SO BORING. I think I'm gonna jump out of the window and see whether I can fly just for my own amusement... hmm No I'm not suicidal but then no one would miss me if I just kicked the bucket right? I know my place in life muahahaha.
SO, computer class. Yoko's sitting next to me and she just typed "how to log into unblocked websites" into google. I nearly fell out of my chair laughing hahahaha.
OH OH OH you know this person I really don't like is now sitting in front of me. He's like so disgusting with greasy hair and you know yesterday in penilaian he suddenly FARTED.
I went OH MY GAWWWWWD like loudly because I was like really shocked and disgusted to comprehend this blasphemy. Thank goodness there was no stench, or I would have fainted there and then. And then this Carmen and Yoko that were next to me had fits of laughter that was so hard to control. We were in the middle of an exam so of course they couldn't laugh out loud but their faces were almost PURPLE with laughter. I also went into bouts of laughter thanks to them.
STILLL it was SO DISGUSTING and I think thats only feeding my hate. Hahahaha I haven't hated someone which such passion for a long time.
Hmm thats all for now, later peeps.

Band..

Grr band is soo annoying, just its taking up my holidays!! I mean it will. Gah Golden is so annoying, talking about discipline and practice and the like. I always zone out when I listen, either that or I'm making lame comments and asking nonconstructive questions. Muahaha.
Hmm the new batch of juniors are not as good as I expected, they haven't even finished Book 1 which is kinda mandatory. I do not know how on earth the trombonist got in, cuz he's hopeless and only complains that he wants to play the euphonium.
AAA! That reminds me of what I really really HATE about Golden, he ALWAYS throws the people from euphonium into my group ( trombonists ). ALWAYS. ARRRGH I have nothing against Adam though, he never complains but this new one only laments about freking euphoniums. To hell with him.
Hmm the clarinets are okay, flutists not, saxes hopeless. The only roses in the midst of a great HUGE thorn-brush are the trumpeters, for once muahaha. Kelvin is quite a talented one, though he is very VERY annoying, but you can talk to him once you get to know him. However, he tends to sweat like the melting Arctic, so when the air-conditioner is malfunctioning or we're marching, its best to be away, FAR AWAY.
Next is the girl, I don't know her name O.o. She's nice, polite, quiet, attentive, you know girly girly characteristics. She plays quite well but I've maybe only exchanged like 1 sentence with her, if any.
Last is Felix. Hehehe this one has character, he may not be as good as the others but at least might be a strong Third. He's very energetic and funny and sometimes annoying but I can handle it. He makes me feel old. Wait till you come to senior years, buckaroo, its no piece of cake. He's maybe the only one I'm almost-good friends with as he's been sitting beside me for a few times now. Though his voice still cracks a lot.
Hmm these 3 are really the one I deem worthy of mentioning, the rest, we'll see. Though one of the percussionists is quite good, but I haven't got to know him yet.
Okay my band rant is over.

Tshung Tsin Pride?

Hehe, this week my school is trying to promote itself by letting all the Pri. 6 kids come to our school. And I volunteered to station myself in a science lab and show them the ' wonders of science', if they exist, that is. Today I got the acids and alkalis station, and oh gawd, the Pri.6 kids are so so so annoying.
Of course I couldn't give them an in-depth explanation of it so we ( all the people involved ) agreed that we could just like drop universal indicators into the substance and show them whether its acidic or alkaline.
And the only thing that the kids ask are...Will it explode?!!?!?!?!?!
Uggh I think that the cartoons should really stop showing those kind of shows, and anyway where is their freakin' cow sense!?!? If it'll explode, would I do it in front of my face!?!?
But of course there are ups too, some really felt interested and asked a lot of questions, like when will they learn about it bla bla. Hopefully they will enter my school. :O
Hehe but over at the band it was a different matter. Sack and her fellow trumpeters were at wits end trying to find songs to play that would appeal to the kids which is err.... none nada zero. Thing is is this weird Golden didn't let any other people join them so they were the only section playing, and well only 1 instrument playing songs meant for a whole band is like err like a tree with only 1 leaf. Emptiness. Nakedness? haha it was so So SO tiring but I guess it was worth it.
Hee hee maybe going on the Doulos this Wednesday, hopefully they still have books that are worth reading and buying :D G-bye!
